How your order is processed:

  1. Your order is transmitted to this restaurant the instant you submit your order,

    By FAR the best thai in Newtown. I don't even usually like Thai but these guys have turned me. Super tasty food, decent portions and reasonable price. We have had the curry puffs, Pad Med Ma Moang, Pra Ram Long Song (pineapple fried rice), and Pad Khi Mao. Have ordered three times and will be ordering again. So good.

    Best Thai food nearby... I used to eat there for lunch... since i found out they do delivery here i couldn't be happier ^o^ BBQ Pork/Chicken, Deep Fried Pork/Chicken, Deep Fried Chicken Wing, Tom Yam, and Pad Khee Mao r my favess!!

    I'm always looking to try new Thai places in Newtown and Thai La-Ong left me with a great first impression. I thought the food was great and really cheap compared to my regular Thai places. My food arrived within 30 minutes and was piping hot. I would definitely recommend!

    Very good! Food arrived earlier than predicted, piping hot and tasty. I was worried my Pad Khi Mao might be too spicy but it was just right. Thank you!

    Delivery - approx 1hr on a fri night. Food - nothing wrong with quality though didn't break any records. Can't say I like the Pla Muak Tod entree though, calamari broken up into small pieces, too small I think. Value is average, food acceptable. Can't say it really stood out in anyway but wasn't disappointed either. I'd say give them a try and see what you think, though I do have other places I like better for thai.

    Food was tasty but they got our order slightly wrong - mixed seafood instead of prawns only. Not a huge deal but still a little disappointing when we opened it.

    Our meals stank of that cheap overpowering garlic paste that comes out of a jar. We took one mouthful and threw it all in the bin. I can't get the taste out of my mouth. I love thai spices and FRESH garlic. This was a bad choice.

    I feel bad leaving a mediocre review, because they delivered right on time, the food was hot, and it's good value on the face of it. But ... the food just wasn't that good. The prawn and asparagus was swimming in half a container of oil. The calamari was floury and tasteless. The chicken/tofu clear soup was bland. And the satay, once you got past the crunchy sauce, was dry. Will not be ordering from here again.

    I have always loved the excellent service at Thai La Ong, and my Menulog experience with them was also exemplary. I arrived early to pick up my food and they very promptly whipped it up for me ahead of time. The staff is lovely, the food is top quality, particularly for the ridiculously low prices. I could never recommend Thai La Ong highly enough.

    Fairly standard Thai; not super great but it was solid and satisfying. Delivery time was bang on what they quoted, lovely delivery guy. 10% off first order was definitely a plus!

      Thai La Ong serves delicious food that has an authentic thai taste. With a cheap lunch special of $6.50 However, at the end of my lunch the service left me with a bad taste when the waiter told me I had to scoop the rest of my lunch into the plastic container because quote "HE WAS TOO BUSY". After which he chucked a plastic bag at me. And said a fleeting insincere apology while he had his back to me. Hey thats understandable right...until they still charged me 20 cents for a 5 cent container. What happened to restaurant service? Don't restaurants want to save food instead of chucking it out? NEWTOWN has so many other Thai restaurants just as cheap and that treat you with respect. So my conclusion is it tastes like Thai but if only they followed their buddhist ways back home. Tara

      Ive been here a few times and every single time, this place has met my satisfaction. The food was GREAT and the service was excellent. Although there was many customers, we waited very little time for our great, full of flavour dishes !!! A little place in newtown i will be continue to eat my favourite THAI dishes
