Absolutely appalling !!! Food used to be fantastic there, don't know what has happened lately but, will never ever go back !!! Having had garlic prawns there previously that were beautiful, now we find that they serve them heads, bodies and all!! Guts included !!!! Took it back and the lady manager virtually said tuff luck - she did not want to know us or help in any way, and they never refund !!What I found surprising was how she mentioned that because she saw me pick up a prawn carcass, and touched it - she couldn't re-serve it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hmmmm what else do they re - serve !!. As for the manager - she is sooo rude !!!!!!!!!!!!!!   (maudy73 - See my reviews (2) - August, 2012)

We haved live in this area for 12 years, and used to very limited restaurants, and those around are very average. This restaurant is refreshingly fantastic. Great food, authentic thai flavours, awesome memorabilia, service okay. Very busy takeaway service, great value for money.   (Nonie - April, 2012)

Absolutely appalling i paid 28 for fish cakes and seafood pad kee mow noodles. The fiscakes were the size of a 50cent piece and the noodles were 90% noodles with one prawn, one muscle, one half a piece of seafood ball and a tiny piece of squid. It had 7 pieces df carrot, one piece of capsicum and one piece of zucchini. I urge you not to eat there they are a total rip off   (mcfood - April, 2012)

We dine in regularly every friday because the foods are amazing, I love the massaman chicken curry, thia River kwai fish and Tom yam soup, they had the best Tom yam soup in the whole gold coast. Worst Thai food I have ever eaten. Asked for a mild gaeng panang - my lips, tongue and gums were burning, had tears streaming from my eyes and my nose was running. The waitresses laughed and later said they only do one kind of heat. Very disappointing.   (JB - See my reviews (2) - May, 2011)

Being a lover of all Thai food, I can highly recommend this place. The food is delicious - every time. We get take-away from here at least once a month and have done so for the past 2 years and the quality and service is always the same - Excellent! Value for money is also guaranteed. Do yourselves a favour and if you haven't tried Thai River Kwai yet, get it for dinner tonight. Highly recommend the Green Curry Chicken and the Pad Thai.   (Chelsb - January, 2010)

We have dined there regularly and also used the take away option. With both options food has been awesome, service always great and there is a beautiful feel about the restaurant. My husband and I go there nearly every week. Food is served fast, hot, fresh and tastes sensational. A lot of love goes into every delicious dish. The salads are amazing, and don't even get me started on how good the black pepper and garlic chicken!   (Candice - May, 2009)

I have dinned about 7 times with my family and received excellent service and food. It is very clean and food fresh. There are many dinners and it is best to book. Take away is available though we prefer to dine In. If you like Thai food it is great and car parking relatively easy. Alcohol can be purchased in a very close bottle shop. Memorabilia exists on the walls of the Bridge over the river Kwai.   (Thai on the Kwai - See my reviews (2) - November, 2008)
