this hotel is an amazing spot for lunch on any hot day. huge menu to cater for all with huge burgers and great fresh fish. Also good for a few beers after the beach

Nice young people working there. We could not get a comfortable chair. They were cracked, broken or in disrepair. The good ones, if there were any were being sat upon by the lucky early diners who...

Tired venue (verrrry tired), tired menu (extremely tired) What a crime that this iconic pub in a spectacular position is so run down you almost feel uncomfortable sitting on soome of the furniture. Maybe this pub needs new management/ownership to lift itself out of the doldrums and become what it should be -something Newcastle can be proud of instead of ashamed of.   (Kilkenny - See my reviews (3) - July, 2008)

Poor quality food; meals came out a different times which is surprising when there are so many people working in the kitchen. Sent a meal back due to being cold. due to the amount of people eating here (not to sure why...maybe cause of the view) staff are not very attentive and do not know how to handle a complaint. Poor quality oysters as a entree, poor service, poor main. can't even get a scotch and coke...I suggest going 2 minutes down the road to the Junction Bar....quality food, quality Service, quality food!!   (Michael - April, 2008)
