I have stayed there a few times and there is usually something new on the menu. Nice place with friendly country style. Loved the chicken and fish dishes especially the calamari. Salads good and fresh. Chips were just as I liked them. Mim   (Mim - December, 2011)

We were driving towards Promontory and realize that it was wash off by flood. We stayed a night at Fish Creek Hotel and left for Melbourne the next day. The food at the pub was very good, we had fish and a steak which was really good and value for money.

Since the new owners took over about 18 months ago, I have eaten at the Fishy Pub quite a few times. Steaks are always good and very generous sizes. Seafood sometimes a bit inconsistent in seasoning flavour and portion sizes. Need more vegetarian selection, but good country atmosphere and very friendly wait staff.   (Country Hospitality - March, 2011)

I had read reviews of how good this pub was so invited friends to dinner. Entrees were ametuerish, overpriced and under seasoned.

Main of fish and chips was $24.95 and was greasy and consisted of 4 flathead tail each the size of half a fish finger. Chips were ok and veg was ok but really pathetic overall.

Other dishes tried were bolognese which was bland and overpriced at $18 and a creamy pasta (my wife forgot which type it was so underwhelming) which was lacking in everything you would expect from an Italian meal(both with packet pasta).

I wont' be back here which is a shame as I have bought a place in the area.

I suspect that any good review of this place will have been written by the chef or owner.
