Overall 9.5 - Food 10, Ambience 8, Value 10, Service 10
Had dinner here on the weekend and it was one of my best nights out. Have been there before and i must say that the service has really improved, as has the food. I was told by the head chef that the apprentice is really starting to come along now, and the overall response to his food has been much more positive. Whilst the decor is not the most upmarket you will find i think it really caters to the suburban market. A fun and friendly atmosphere was felt and the desert was massive and amazing - super value for money. I has the tempura prawns for entree and they were scrumptious. I have tasted a lot of Gnochi dishes in my time and highly recommend the prawn gnochi dish - yum yum!! The waiters ensured we were happy with our meals and our drinks were topped up. Will definitely be spreading the word about this place - cant wait to go back (Anla - August, 2009) Overall 1.8 - Food 3, Ambience 2, Value 1, Service 1
We will not be returning to the Italian Kitchen. While some of the food was OK, the rest was returned to the kitchen as inedible. The desserts were stale and the coffee terrible. The service was slow - the sole waiter was simply inadequate for the number of diners. The toilets were dirty and in poor state of repair. On our previous visits, the food had been good although service and ambience had been lacking. This time, we simply thought it was third rate all round. (June, 2009) Overall 1.8 - Food 1, Ambience 1, Value 1, Service 4
Would never go back. The food was not very hot when served. The veal was tough. The food did not taste fresh. Even the dessert was stale. We were overcharged on the account by $12-we ordered two glasses of wine @ $5 each but were charged $14 for both. We were charged an extra $8 without explanation. Our veal dishes cost around $30 each but they did not put the price on the account-just left it blank. This restaurant is not value for money if you expect fine dining. (See my reviews (3) - April, 2009) Overall 9 - Food 10, Ambience 6, Value 10, Service 10
Our family went on recommendation and although it was average in decor we had a fantastic time. Joshua was lovely and was fantastic with the kids. His take away prices are very family budget friendly. The pizzas are GREAT! An affordable and enjoyable treat. (GREAT PIZZA'S - February, 2009) Overall 5.3 - Food 9, Ambience 4, Value 6, Service 2
We've read and heard nothing but bad reviews about this place. However, we gave it a go anyway. If you're after airs and graces, forget it! But if you're after a great feed give it a go :~) Overall 1.5 - Food 1, Ambience 1, Value 3, Service 1
We dined here on a Monday night in May, we had been to this restaurant previously and were happy, but not anymore. The waiter bought out our main meals while we were still finishing our entree (the same happened with the table next to us). The food was only luke warm, the waiter did not provide any more bottled water nor did he seem to care. We also had a Privileges card and were incorrectly charged as well. You would think that restaurants would be trying to provide a decent service these days with not as many people dining out because of the cost of living, but they just don't seem to care. They have also lost another return customer with us and I will be informing Priviliges as well. (Meg111 - May, 2008) Overall 5 - Food 7, Ambience 5, Value 5, Service 3
It was a quiet night; only 8 tables running with two waiting staff; who weren't good at their jobs! The waiters failed to provide drinks other than the initial round, and didn't check on our satisfaction with the food- simple and basic aspects of waiting. Hence lost money for the owners and customers from the perspective of return business. Also, probably an unusual 'complaint' but the kids meals were too big. My three year old daughter was serve an adults sized spaghetti bolognaise in a bowl to big for her to tackle, so we had to give it to her from a side plate. (April, 2008) Overall 1 - Food 1, Ambience 1, Value 1, Service 1
im just appalled at the poor standard of the italian kitchen. i really felt for the waiter who was on his own after staff called in sick or didnt show up. our meals came out luke warm & not cooked properly. we also had a privileges card & were incorrectly charged. the bathroom facilities were awful. i called the restuarant twice today to speak with the manager who was always too busy to take the calls (i called at 11am & 3pm). ill make it my business to make as many people as i can not to dine at this restuarant.
