The Peasants Feast started life as a restaurant devoted to country style food (provincial European and modern Australian), its tapestry and farm decorations emphasizing its rustic home away from home atmosphere. Over the years it has developed an established reputation renown for its superb tastes, varied and creative original dishes and friendly service with its own distinctive Newtown character. For the loyal regulars who know and love it well, its their secret country retreat located in the heart of Australia's busiest city, serving te greatest tasting food in all of Sydney. Then along came a new owner, Dr. Robert Warlow, a Clinical Immunologist, Allergist, Immunopathologist and Medical Researcher, who knew and loved the restaurant well. From his many years in medical research, he had concluded that "What you put in your mouth determines whether you stay healthy or become ill and how long you live. You can't change your genes but you can change your eating habits to avoid diseases. YOU TRULY ARE WHAT YOU EAT!!!".

"the friendly waiter was expecting us when we arrived, he and the other staff were extremely helpful and took every effort to make sure we had everything we wanted.
the service was fast and friendly.
the gnocchi was lovely and the herb bread was delicious, the only let down was the vegetarian platter which was big, and quite tasty but just a little boring consisting mainly of plain vegetables.o.."
"Both me and my wife had the orawns saganaki for entree. This was mouth watering and had us wishing we had chosen it for a main. The mains were equally delicious. I had the lamb shanks, with the meat so tender it came off the bone. My wife had a baked vegetarian pastaccio of lentils, wholemeal rigatoni, olives and fetta. The service and recommendations we received from the waiter Joey were tops." more reviews
