The Quiet Man Irish Pub is something of a local curio. Unlike many "Irish Pubs" which display heraldry maps and county coats of arms, and attract newly 18-year-old drinkers and thirty-somethings looking to reclaim a little of their youth, The Quiet Man's clientele all have something in common - they're Irish. Whether you want to prop up the bar with an ale, or sit down to a hearty Irish meal with your nearest and dearest, there is something for everyone at the Quiet Man. Take a seat in one of the comfy alcoves in the taproom, or pull up a stool at the bar for an ice cold Guinness, and don't forget about the Pint of the Month - just five dollars for a pint of the featured beer. Alternatively, chef Micheal Lynch will whip you up a dinner to remember. The Quiet Man's Irish Stew is a must try, served up in a hollowed out loaf of bread, this is the sort of meal that will keep you going for days, and washed down with a pint of Guinness, is an absolutely knockout meal. For the non-meat eaters, the Boxty Potato Pancake is out of this world, and the fresh seafood, immense parmas and several varieties of mashed potato will appeal to every taste. If you're going to go to The Quiet Man any night of the week, make it Sunday. From about 9pm every Sunday night, Pat McKernan, the man who knew too many songs, plays Irish classics until after midnight. It's loud, unruly and outrageously good fun. It doesn't matter if you don't know the words, just pick out the beat and clap along. These are songs that'll melt your face. Affable Irish staff, great food, cold ales and great entertainment, as well as a beautifully decorated interior make The Quiet Man the closest thing to Ireland, right here in Flemington. If you've got even a little Irish blood in you (or even if you don't), you'll find something to love about The Quiet Man.

Exceptionally good service. Great food and fair prices. The staf are genuinely Irish and genuinely friendly. One of my friends unintentionally ate the meal ordered by one of the other members of our party. Even though it was entirely his fault, the staff offered to replace the meal. I will definitely return here.
