    Treasury on King William is the name given to the restaurant and bar housed in the multi award winning heritage listed Medina Grand Adelaide Treasury Hotel. This 1830's building was superbly restored at a cost of $20 million in July 02, the result is a 5 star complex combining original elements of the 163 yr old building with modern finishes and amenities.The Treasury is a popular destination for city workers and travellers alike with a large courtyard and its restored fountain the centrepiece. A real oasis in the middle of the city. The funky bar is a deep rich claret and offers a wide range of international spirits and beers and an ever changing list of wines by the glass. The award winning restaurant in contrast is light and airy with an open gas fireplace complimenting the room. Diners can sample the seasonal menu in this relaxing space or dine alfresco soaking up some of the history of this amazing building. The restuarant is open everyday of the year for breakfast, Monday to Friday for lunch and Monday to Saturday for dinner, group bookings and functions are a speciality.

      We had a fantastic dining experiance at the Treasury on king William, food was well presented and full of flavour, and the service was friendly, prompt and non pretentious. i will definately be back and recomend to all i know. David and Nina   (Nina - August, 2010)

      this was suppose to be a special evening for my 50th birthday but it wasn't. We sat outside and I couldn't see what I was eating, the waiter made me feel like I should hurry my ordering along, at the end they charged us for the incorrect table, with a mee apology. I would not recommend this establishment again. It is a lovely place for a quick drink but as for the rest....forget it. The food was OK   (January, 2010)

      I was sorry to read your comments about your experience at the Treasury and I'm dissapointed the occasion was not up to your expectations. We pride ourselves on our food and service, winning back to back BEST BISTRO in the SA Restaurant & Catering Association Awards for Excellence in 2008 & 2009 is testament to that. I can sympathise with you not being able to see very well out side when it gets dark because it is lit very subtly, the obvious answer would have been to move inside, I trust this was suggested! I hope you can see a way to give us another opportunity to display our true colours, once again my apologies.

      Our waiter was a little less than enthusiastic and we had to keep asking for water at the table. Main course of veal was tasteless and the rabbit main course was tough.   (miki - November, 2009)
