The White Dove Restaurant

We have had one of the worst dining experiences at this restaurant. The service was absolutely shocking. We booked and were one of the first to be seated and wanted to take advantage of the dinner and movie, thinking that we might get through our meal reasonably quickly. We finally got our drinks 45min after we were seated, entrees 1 hour. By 1.5hrs waiting for mains, we left after paying for what we had. There were only 2 staff out the front with a full restaurant (one waitress plus the owner who was next to useless). We were not the only ones walking out either, there were others who we heard her bad mouthing to other patrons as well. The owner was extremely rude & arrogant even from the moment we got there, showing us the table then turning her back straight away. The whole time menus were thrown on the table behind us. While we were waiting friends of the owners came in and were miraculously served entrees mains and drinks and left within the hour. They seem to rest on their laurels of awards received over 10years ago, I can see why they have not received any recently, after the both of us working in the restaurant and cater industry for many years, we think it is definitely time to sell and let someone do a proper job of running a restaurant. Rest assured we will never return and be recommending friends never to go to the White Dove Port Noarlunga.   (scott - January, 2009)
