Three Palms is a suitable restaurant to take your partner. Great relaxed and sophisticated dining area. The ambience is probably the best part of the venue. The food I found to be a little pretentious but was still nice. The wine list was a bit pricey but thats what you expect on the Mornington Peninsula definately (do not compare to bottle shop prices you will ruin your evening) Overall though it was a satisfying experience. On most occasions they have been understaffed but the staff members they had where polite and helpful. A good plus is the bar the operates at Three Palms you can eat, then move to a lounge and enjoy a cocktail or a splendid selection of beers. Would highly recommend a small party 4 max and make a booking as restaurant is small.   (mcknz57 - See my reviews (3) - March, 2010)

A WELL PRESENTED RESTAURANT WITH GOOD TABLEWARE, GOOD LINEN NAPKINS, GOOD WINE LIST AND GLASSWARE ALTHOUGH DID NOT SEE ANY WINES BY THE GLASS OFFERED. THE NIGHT WAS SOURED SOME WHAT BY THE TIME IT TOOK TO BE SERVED FOOD. THERE WAS OBVIOUSLY A PROBLEM IN THE KITCHEN AS WE WAITED 45 MINUTES FOR OUR ENTREE'S [ 1 X SOUP, 1 X SEAFOOD BOULABAISE ] WE WERE EVENTUALLY TOLD THAT THE SECOND CHEF HAD NOT TURNED UP. ANOTHER THIRTY MINUTES PASSED AND WE STILL DID NOT HAVE OUR MAINS. WHEN THEY DID ARRIVE, MY PARTNERS BEEF WAS PLENTYFUL, WELL PREPARED ALTHOUGH THE MASHED POTATO BASE TENDED TO OVER POWER THE BEEF WITH A STRONG, PECULIAR ASIAN SPICE. ON THE OTHER HAND MY MAIN CONSISTED OF 6 SMALL PORTIONS OF DUCK, TWO [2] BEANS AND TWO [2] BLAND NEW POTATOES, NOT IN MY OPINION VALUE FOR MONEY. WE EVENTUALLY LEFT THE RESTAURANT AT 11 O CLOCK AFTER BEEN THANKFULLY OFFERED NO CHARGE ON THE DESSERTS AND COFFEE'S. IF THE PATRONS HAD BEEN TOLD THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM IN THE KITCHEN AND THE VERY START THINGS MAY HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT. IT WILL BE A LONG TIME IN THE FUTURE BEFORE WE DRIVE OVER AN HOUR TO REVISIT THREE PALMS.   (October, 2008)

Excellent service. The beef tenderloin was the best I've ever had - simply superb.

An excellent night out in "special" surroundings and great food and wine.
