My partner and I went here on Easter for dinner together for the first time. Was a really really nice setting dining outdoors under the nice warm heaters and the table setting was really lovely! My boyfriend and I went for the $28 deal where you get a glass of wine, entree and main. We were really happy about the deal, the food was brilliant BUT the glass of wine we ordered each - apparently it was a Sav Blanc, wasn't really a Sav Blanc at all..in fact I think it may have been cask wine it was pretty awful but I kept on going with it considering the food was pretty good. We both got the same meals... calamari entree with a nice salad and dressing then we had the scotch fillet with mushroom sauce on top of green beans and carrots...very filling and I had to eat it ALL! The service was really good we thought and yes I would go back but with my own bottle of Sav Blanc next time ;)   (miss_minx - April, 2009)

I went here last night night for dinner (Sat) with my boyfriend and I have to say we are going back in a heart beat. The decor inside was really lovely and tables were set beautifully with candles. The service was fantastic and the timing of our meals were perfect also. We ordered the entree calamari which was really nice, lightly floured served on top of a small salad, tartae sauce and lemon wedge - great starter! Also brought out was some lovely fresh dinner rolls with oil & balsamic complimentary. We had a bottle of sav. blanc The Crossings which was to die for and only $33!! For our mains we both ordered the steak with chunky chips and beautiful gourmet salad - the plate was a big rectangular plate which made everything look so presentable and most of all it was so TASTY!!!!!! We couldnt fit in any dessert unfortunately. We will go back again bec the fish n chips looked so good. Love this place and highly recommend.   (miss_minx - April, 2008)

This is such a cosey place to dine at. It is a restored house which looks and feels wonderful. I had a table next to the front near the window which was nice. Its very warm and I think beautiful in winter time. The food and service was perfect! I had the crumbed king george whiting for my main and loved it! This place is so good!! Ive been here at least half a dozen times and I'll keep going back! Its so reasonably priced and its BYO wine so its really great. A MUST and I always have this dish is the garlic chicken on a sizzling plate...omg to die for!!! Also the calamari in garlic butter is fantastic too! If you're into your sushi etc its ideal and if you love your hot dishes its perfect too!! A+++++++++++++++   (miss_minx - March, 2008)
