Not sure that we should pay for someone else's bad day 'Food' if your happy to pay for substandard service, that that's your choice. This site is about the opinions of restaurants based on experience, not to dig at the respondants.   (Shepd - March, 2010)

The atmosphere and service were great, although the flies buzzing around were better left outside or at least dealt with.

The Kitchen should be awarded for serving the smallest, shrivelled, luke warm Oysters in town at $28.90/Doz and awarded for being able to create what seemed like beef Jerky from a piece of Lamb filet at $31.90.

Shame really because this reflects poorly on the Manuka branch of the same restaurant, which apart from its cocky waiter is really a very nice place...   (Shepd - March, 2010)

Poor service, very hard to make a booking using an answering machine when there is no reply and you have to chase the booking. Plastic plates are for picnics not restaurants, lighting was poor, the waiter had no idea what meal he was putting on the table. Room for improvement although the food was reasonable. Given that there is a lot of competition in town for Thai restaurants maybe this one needs to undergo a refurb.   (Shepd - September, 2009)

The first time I walked into Verve, I was impressed. The service, food and Ambience was good. The experience was well worth the visit. Value for money, largish portions and an extensive menu. Well done, we'll be back.   (Shepd - July, 2009)

Changed name, same bad habits. The cutlery needed a clean, the food was poor in preparation and took a long time to come out all the while the kitchen staff had noticed that we had sat there for at least 45mins before receiving an entree before some action was taken. We frequently used this place however would no longer bother as it's not worth the trouble and lunch just isn't that long! Maybe the wait staff should take note of the clients as it is the client that pays their wages... Poor service in a Canberra restaurant - that's a risky position.   (Shepd - July, 2009)
