You'll be hard pressed to find better steak on the coast. Staff are brilliant, and if you get Clay as your table attendant you're doubly lucky. I hope they never lose him. It is a bit pricey, but for the special occasion or if you're out to impress someone it's well worth the visit.   (MM - January, 2009)

Can be a little slow at times getting your food, not always, but the food is always good. Their stone grills are great, with choice cuts of meat. The wine buffet is excellent value with some surprisingly good wines on offer for such a deal.   (MM - January, 2009)

Cafe style eatery with brilliant food. 25% off the bill if you order lunch by 12.30pm! Fresh seafood, the calamari is always good. If you do lunch there and the pork is not on the menu, ask - sometimes they'll have it anyway, presumably for the dinner crowd, and it's superb.   (MM - January, 2009)

If you like steak, try Carmody's. Maybe not promoted enough but it's right up there with the best of them. Good portions, maybe a wee bit pricey but it won't keep the real steak lover away.   (MM - January, 2009)

Freshest Thai food anywhere. The kitchen is visible from the restaurant, watch them prepare the food - they grow their own herbs. Beautiful. Wrong side of the freeway for the tourists, but that's great for locals who know about it. Always busy but never crowded. We've also had a group booking there with a set menu and they couldn't have been more obliging when it came to changing menu items. Can't give it 10 for ambience while there are settings like Chiang Mai Thai around, but the food is better here so who cares? Highly recommended!   (MM - January, 2009)
