Villa Italliana Restaurant
- 10 Casino rise, Prospect Vale TASOverall 8.5 - Food 10, Ambience 10, Value 7, Service 7
A very good restaurant connected to the casino. Nice, quiet ambience and a very soothing atmosphere.
Food is of a high quality but value varies. Pick meal carefully to gain most from your money if you are frugally-minded.
Service was polite and adequate but not exceptional. (Tasmania2009 - February, 2009)

The Brisbane Hotel
- 3 Brisbane st, Hobart TASOverall 7.3 - Food 7, Ambience 8, Value 7, Service 7
A friendly, family hotel. I went here often as a child (when the pub was known as the Brisbane Hotel) for our hockey team nights and it was the kind of hotel that would sponsor sports teams and go out of its way for we youngsters. A good, solid little pub. (Tasmania2009 - February, 2009)

Restaurant 1834, Hadleys Hotel
- 34 Murray st, Hobart TASOverall 8 - Food 8, Ambience 10, Value 6, Service 8
Went here for work conference. Lovely ambience in this classic hotel but food wasn't quite at the standard one would expect. (Tasmania2009 - March, 2009)

Mount Nelson Tavern
- 571 Nelson rd, Mount Nelson TASOverall 8 - Food 7, Ambience 10, Value 7, Service 8
Good pub meal. Mount Nelson is, of course, one of the most delightful places in Tasmania; a great bush setting with lovely views and the iconic signal station to boot.
Food was good pub fare and the service was prompt and efficient. Would go again. (Tasmania2009 - March, 2009)

Lewisham Tavern
- 46 Lewisham Scenic drv, Lewisham TASOverall 5 - Food 5, Ambience 5, Value 5, Service 5
In response to comments by Juppy - LOL. :-)
Yes, it was years ago now, so probably a little unfair of me to judge the pub by that one experience so long ago.
One bloke had his arm broken in the fight, though, so you would probably remember if you worked there at the time. (Tasmania2009 - March, 2009)

Shingle Inn
- 255 Queen st, Brisbane QLDOverall 8.5 - Food 8, Ambience 10, Value 10, Service 6
Service was a little slow. Food leans towards patisserie cuisine but there were healthier options like Caesar Salad.
Value was excellent but where this place gains the most points is because it simply has the most wonderful ambience ever. Absolutely wonderful decor with lamps, bench seats and rich, warm red wallpapers. A very welcoming, delightful place. (Tasmania2009 - March, 2009)

Trader Dukes Caboolture
- 295 King st, Caboolture QLDOverall 6 - Food 6, Ambience 6, Value 6, Service 6
Sorry - my previous review below referred to the Twisted Arm, not Trader Duke's (I was confusing the two restaurants.)
Here is my actual review for Trader Duke's:
Average pub meal bordering on being too expensive. Quite a lot of rough patrons in the bar area - I wish these establishments would bring back the old time dress rules to filter out some of the riff-raff that loiter around these pubs. (Tasmania2009 - March, 2009)

Dunalley Waterfront Cafe
- 4 Imlay st, Dunalley TASOverall 7 - Food 7, Ambience 7, Value 7, Service 7
Pies were okay. Nothing outstanding about this place, though, other than its location. (Tasmania2009 - March, 2009)
