The starters were so absolutely fantastic that I was a little let down by the simplicity of my mains. This is certainly one of the best Japanese restaurants in the area. The staff are courteous and efficient and the food is more authentic than most local Japanese places. (rummmmmmmi - March, 2009)

Moroccan Soup Bar
- 183 St Georges rd, Fitzroy North VICOverall 7.5 - Food 8, Ambience 8, Value 8, Service 6
My mum can't get enough of this place and finally convinced me to come along. Its a bizarre experience to begin with as the ordering process is not the norm. The dark haired lady who runs it came to our table and greeted my mum fondly as a recognised regular. My mum said "No special requests except my capsicum allergy and we want the chickpea dish". and from there the food just continued to come out in waves. It was all delicious but i have not had the courage to go back as an unknown diner. (rummmmmmmi - March, 2009)

Mezza Lebanese Grill
- 62-64 Lygon st, Brunswick East VICOverall 9.3 - Food 9, Ambience 9, Value 9, Service 10
I have eaten here on two occasions where I was dining with a larger group and they are so very accomodating. The food is lovely and the staff make you feel very well looked after. Another great addition to this strip in Lygon Street brunswick which is slowly but surely becoming a very good place to get a nice feed. (rummmmmmmi - March, 2009)

Rumi
- 132 Lygon st, Brunswick East VICOverall 9.3 - Food 10, Ambience 9, Value 9, Service 9
I have been a regular at Rumi since they first popped up in Brunswick. Initially it was easy to walk in and get a table but once more people discovered it we had to start booking ahead. I would have liked for it to stay our little secret but they deserve the success they have recieved. My favourites have always been the labne, the sigara boregi, the persian meatballs and the lamb koresht, but the menu changes regularly and now I can't go without ordering the goat which is just sublime! The food is refined and each dish presents a new and unique flavour to be savoured. (rummmmmmmi - March, 2009)
