We ate here in a group of 6 people to celebrate my sister's 60th birthdayon 3December 2012. We have previously rated Noble Palace very highly but felt a little let down this time. They have a limited wine selection but did not have the first three sav blancs I ordered. Although it was a Monday night and not very busy, they forgot one of our main courses. A number of the corses (shantung chicken and roastduck with orange sauce) were a little light on compared to most other restaurants. They probably need to lift their game a little. We had lunch here on 18/10/2012 after recent disappointments at our regular Vietnamese Restaurant. The food was very good - the green papaw saland was excellent as was the caramelised pork. Banana pancakes were terrific for desert. Not a great wine list but we found a few we liked. Service was very quick and friendly. Will go back again! (Gordon Lee Koo - October, 2012)

Pho Phu Quoc Vietnamese Restaurant
- 4/6 Cape st, Dickson ACTOverall 4.8 - Food 6, Ambience 5, Value 4, Service 4
We go to this place fairly often for both lunch and dinner and generally give it favourable reviews. On our most recent visit (end September) however, the food was still good but the size of the serve for most dishes had diminished markedly. We will give it one more go, but if it has not returned to the former sized serves, we will look elsewhere (Gordon Lee Koo - October, 2012)

Ginseng @ Hellenic
- Matilda Street, Woden ACTOverall 3.5 - Food 5, Ambience 4, Value 3, Service 2
Arrived at 1230pm on Sunday 7/10/12 (party of 7) for yum cha. The main problem was that nothing was coming out of the kitchen! After about 45 minutes, we had received 3 small dishes. Finally complained and menus were bought. Didn't seem to make a difference - a lot of what we wanted was not available and some that was, was not provided to us. We have always liked GINSENG at the Hellewnic Club but will think twice before we go again. Very disappointing! (Gordon Lee Koo - October, 2012)

Ewe'n Me Licensed Restaurant

The food here might be ok but unfortunately we never got any. We arrived at around 6.45pm and ordered before 7.00pm. There were only a half a dozen people in the restaurant seated at that time. We just ordered a cob of bread and two mains . The wine came fairly promptly but no sign of a meal, even bread after 45 minutes. I asked the waitress (manager?) where our food was but she complained about how busy she was. Given we had finished our wine, I asked could we just pay for the wine because I had little confidence in their ability to supply it. She said no because they had started cooking it! We noticed that the tables in the restaurant were now full and other people had received their meals. After a further 15 minutes, we did something that we had never done in 35 years of dining out - we walked out leaving money for the wine. No sorry's, no explanations - they obviously didn't care less. Never will we visit this restaurant again. (Gordon Lee Koo - September, 2012)

Went for lunch on 3 April 2012. Had the banquet for two but was disappointed by one of the main courses (Wagyu beef in a very bland sauce). Previously rated their food very highly but today, we felt a little let down (Gordon Lee Koo - April, 2012)

Lanterne Rooms Restaurant
- 3 Blamey Pl, Campbell ACTOverall 8.5 - Food 9, Ambience 8, Value 8, Service 9
Very much enjoyed our lunch at the Lanterne Rooms today. The only criticism we had was the duck rolls which were deep fried without much flavour. Everything else including the wagyu curry and twice cooked belly pork was absolutely superb (Gordon Lee Koo - December, 2011)

Had Yum Cha here on 21/8/2011 to celebrate a 60th birthday. Food was really very good with a large variety of Yum Cha dishes available. The place was however a bit crowded given it was a Sunday. We have eaten here on many occasions and have yet to be disappointed with the food and service. Strongly recommended.
