Overall 7.8 -

We had dinner in Waves last night for my husband's birthday. It seemed quiet for a Friday night.
The presentation of the buffet is really good. Food is quite nice and there is a good selection of dishes. I liked the fact that they had all different hot dishes from pork belly to tikka masala. Loved the chili and mango pickles.
Only let down is that there is no fresh fruit other than a bowl of mixed fruit salad, but I expected at least some fresh fruit such as watermelon slices, strawberries or similar nice palate cleansing dessert, etc,. A very nice selection of sweets if you like that sort of thing. The coconut cream cake was lovely.
Service overall was very good. They did however not refill our wine glasses or water glasses (I think the water glasses are too small), so I had to ask for more water.
I had organized a cake and it was a beautiful cake, however they did not bring a sharp knife we could cut the cake with, neither offered to cut it for us.
Overall a nice dinner at $59 per person and good service that gives room for improvement. Relaxed atmosphere. (Eva - June, 2010)
