Mulligan's Bar, The Tap Inn (Kent Town Hotel)
- 76 Rundle st, Kent Town SAOverall 3.8 - Food 2, Ambience 5, Value 3, Service 5
We went to Birdies with a group of people and had the tapas as entree and main. Entree tapas was good, altho the the satay chicken lacked any real flavour.
The mains were horrendously bad! The "seafood Gumbo"(I was really looking forward to trying this dish) was definitely not like any other seafood gumbo I have had, it was like boiled fish stock and throw in some seafood, it was a mess. The gnocchi was overcooked and was like eating paste. The butter chicken was terrible and I have made better at home. The steak was lovely however the kipfler potatoes wre dry and undercooked.
When I go to a restaurant and am paying for food, I have an expectation that the food I am going to be served will be better than what I can cook at home! (thankana - July, 2010)

Jasmin Indian Restaurant
- 31 (Off Rundle Mall)Hindmarsh sq, Adelaide SAOverall 10 - Food 10, Ambience 10, Value 10, Service 10
This place has to serve the best Indian food in Australia. I have been to many Indian restaurants and they pale in comparison. I am biased as this was the first restaurant my husband brought me to over 19 years ago and is still has brilliant now as it was then. If you love the magnificently hot, try the Tindaloo. The service is always great and its good to see they manage to keep the fantastic staff over the years. (thankana - July, 2010)

River Cafe
- War Memorial Drive, North Adelaide SAOverall 10 - Food 10, Ambience 10, Value 10, Service 10
I love this place! The food is always great, my steak was cooked to perfection and was melt in your mouth. My husband had the Paella which he said was better than the Paellas we have had in Spain! The one thing that is also brilliant about this place is a certain waiter they have, he has the best customer service skills but I just cant remember his name. (thankana - July, 2010)

Victoria Hotel-Strathalbyn
- 16 Albyn terrace, Strathalbyn SAOverall 6 - Food 6, Ambience 6, Value 3, Service 9
We hadn't booked and staff were very friendly and their service was great. I ordered the open lamb pie cooked in red wine and rosemary. Lamb was superb!! The pie crust was as hard as a rock. I took one bite and thought I had chipped a tooth!! The disappointing thing about this bistro is if you only want an entree as a main course they will charge you an extra $4.50!! Oh and the salad and veg buffet looked tired. (thankana - July, 2010)

The Cafe, The Store
- 157 Melbourne st, North Adelaide SAOverall 9 - Food 9, Ambience 9, Value 9, Service 9
The store breakfasts are the best in Adelaide and the cafe is always packed especially when its raining outside. If the weather is cold book your breakfast table otherwise you will miss out. (thankana - July, 2010)
