- Wildfire Overseas Passenger Terminal Circular Quay W, The Rocks NSWOverall 3 - Food 8, Ambience 1, Value 2, Service 1
My finace and I we visting Sydney almost a year to the day we got engaged and her birthday. We wanted to celebrate at a good resturant so booked Wildfire. However, it became the worst dinning experience we have ever encounted. The service was simply so poor we left before our main course. Upon arrival I requested the door be shut as there was quite a breeze flowing up the stairs. When they refused I asked to be moved. Which they did but to a place which was still close to the door. We where then served by six different people, with no offer of the wine list. Once we did finally get to order, food or wine was served at the table inbetween my finace and I as we were talking. It was so unprofessional and rude. What made matters worst was the fact different staff had to come back several times to check they had our order correct. As the night cooled the draft from the door increased making my fiance and I put our jackets on (we're from Melbourne so we don't get cold easily!). Such was the poor experience and service we requested to leave (We've never done this before). To which we were told that 'people have different levels of feeling cold' by the floor manager, combined with 'can't you see it from my point of view the food is now cooked'. I could go. I can quite honestly say I get better service at Bunnings. It is clear Wildfire survives on the international tourist trade because no self respecting Aussie would return to such a venue. Even when we went to collect our coats staff appeared confused as how to do this (its a ticket system) and it required 2 people to find our coats. Their poor attitude was so disappointing.
