This pub is slowly being renovated. The menu has been updated and delivers great pub food for reasonable prices - plus, for those non schnitzel eaters, they even do a decent salad. Service is always friendly and quick.   (Redchilli - July, 2007)

After having heard rave reviews about XO I finally got a chance to go - and we had a great night! From the cocktails to the cheese platter everything was delicious. Loved the tapas and the gnocchi, pizza and goat were moreish. The churros are a must. The Manager was very knowledgeable when we asked for help choosing our wines and his recommendations were well matched with the food.

Only let down was the slow clearing of empty glasses and dishes and our water glasses weren't topped up unless we asked for it.   (Redchilli - October, 2009)

You know it must be good when a restaurant is packed on a Monday night. I haven't been for several years but it was the best meat I've had in a while. The tapas to start was delicious. The mixed grill was huge and our request for no offal was accommodated with no fuss. It went brilliantly with our wine selection from the extensive wine list. The only downfall was that the duck leg and the witlof salad had been oversalted. Great service all night.   (Redchilli - August, 2009)

For an inner city pub this was great. Looked like it had been recently renovated with a nice big beer garden. The $10 dinner was brilliant value - my steak was tender and cooked just how I like it. Great service.   (Redchilli - July, 2009)

Love the decor in this place - very colonial. Great cocktails and the service from the moment we walked in the door was great. Love the tapas style / sharing theme. The food was all delicious.   (Redchilli - July, 2009)

We needed late night refreshment and arrived just before 10.00pm and couldn't believe how busy it was! But, we will be returning, the schnitzel burger and steak sandwich were really tasty and the chips were perfect. The other menu items look good too. Service was friendly and efficient - we weren't waiting long. Even though they don't advertise it, if you order hot food you can even have a beer as well.
