Came for a Sunday lunch, service was good, and food came out quite quickly for me and my friend. My friends tempura battered fish and chips, well it wasn't tempura at all, it was just batter and the fish was small and the chips were dry.
For mine, the house special is the black mussels, for almost $20 I would have to say its worth it.
There was plenty of mussels in this cheese sauce and I was full afterwards. I would say about 5 out of 25 mussels (its just my guess) didn't open up properly but they weren't hard to open. Reading other reviewers, they seemed disappointed, my friends fish and chips was, but I have to say the mussels were nice!! (rojoe roger - September, 2008)

Smithfield Palace Chinese Restaurant
- Smithfield sq, Smithfield NSWOverall 6.8 - Food 6, Ambience 7, Value 7, Service 7
I've tried a few lunch specials, their char keow teow had a hint of curry powder so it was more like Singapore noodles, their mala mee is Not hot as it says on their phamplet but its something different. Its mince in a gravy with cucumber and noodles. The satay sauce taste like other Chinese places satay sauce and the lamb was a little chewy. Pork ribs peking sauce was nice but a little overpowering in taste. I feel this place is catered for people who like "Aussie" Chinese food. (rojoe roger - September, 2008)

Al-Diaffah Al-Iraqi Restaurant
- 13 the cres, Fairfield NSWOverall 6.5 - Food 6, Ambience 5, Value 6, Service 9
I found the food ordinary and the menu is limited but the portions are huge!! Buy one meal and it can feed your family!! I had the lamb with rice but there wasn't much meat on it, and the hommus tasted a little different to what you get in Lebanese/ Turkish places, I prefer the latter. If I wanted to feed a lot of people, I would come here for sure. (rojoe roger - September, 2008)

The only vegetarian place in Cabramatta that has yum cha, it doesn't come out in a trolley, you just have to order it, but it also has many dishes including substitute meat. One of my favourite vegetarian places. (rojoe roger - September, 2008)

On a Saturday night, there is a Line to you have to wait in, I got there 7 pm and waited 1 hour. The people in front of me left!! We even had to ask for our own menus!! While waiting, the hostess said I was behind these other ladies behind me, UUUMMMMM if I'm ahead of them, how did the conclusion of that come up? That makes no sense; did she want me to wait longer than 1 hour?
The iced strawberry was nothing special; the nanno's bread was nice and big. The pasta was huge I couldn't finish it, it was that big!! But you get what you pay for, a little pricey but like I said portions are big. (rojoe roger - September, 2008)

Chi Ban Parramatta
- 9 Wentworth st, Parramatta NSWOverall 6.5 - Food 8, Ambience 7, Value 8, Service 3
This place has actually changed its name to Ichiban teppanyaki. I haven't tried the teppanyaki yet but they have lunch specials. I was greatly surprised that my meal really filled me up, but it didn't look like there was much there.
Prices are reasonable but the food took a little time to come out and the waitress looks like she can't smile or doesn't want to be there. They didn’t have change in the till so what she does is giving me change for the tip jar, which has water in it, so I got wet change back! Is this what you call service? I was a little bemused. Nonki's Japanese Tavern Restaurant
- Kingsgate Shopping cntr, Kings Cross NSWOverall 9 - Food 10, Ambience 10, Value 8, Service 8
A place you have to try once, if only for something different. You must take off your shoes to enter and you go into tables which are ground level and there is karaoke here. Always busy and the food is nice, even my Japanese friends love this place. Would come here often if I lived closer!! (rojoe roger - September, 2008)

Wetherill Park Chinese Restaurant
- 1024 Horsley drv, Wetherill Park NSWOverall 6.3 - Food 3, Ambience 6, Value 10, Service 6
The food is standard Aussie-nized Chinese food, and it wasn't good. The satay lamb was a little chewy and the lemon chicken wasn't good. The mixed entree was at least decent and very cheap.
In fact this place is really cheap, the highest priced item on the menu is $13.30 and having $5 lunch specials, how can you beat that? So when I give "Value" a 10, I really just mean its really cheap! Ambience, it's clean and has decent decor but it feels too plain.
Service, the food did take a little while longer than I expected but then again I did get the food at dinner time. Overall, cheap food but mediocre food at best, the mixed entree though is worth the price. (rojoe roger - August, 2009)
