Great Steak. I think its a bit of a Boy's tribal restaurant (GMS210 - January, 2008)

- 498 King Georges rd, Beverly Hills NSWOverall 7.3 - Food 8, Ambience 3, Value 9, Service 9
There have been a lot of Chinese Restaurants come and gone in the 42 years my Mum and Dad have lived at Beverly Hills. This one has been there the whole time. It is consistantly good. I have only eaten in a handful of times but must have tried take away at least 100 times. It has all the standard Australianised Cantones dishes but with a few nice House Specialties. Yummy Thai
- 81a Dora st, Morisset NSWOverall 7.3 - Food 9, Ambience 3, Value 10, Service 7
A little shop on a busy street. Service is always prompt but setting is pretty dull. We got take away most of the time. Their Basil Chicken is still the best Basil Chicken I have ever tasted. (GMS210 - January, 2008)

Scratchleys
- 200 Wharf rd, Newcastle NSWOverall 8 - Food 8, Ambience 10, Value 6, Service 8
This place unfortunately has a reputation it needs to live up to. It is a nice spot with good food but doesn't deserve to charge the premium it does. Having said that, its always worth a visit (GMS210 - January, 2008)

Brewery Queens Wharf The
- 150 Wharf rd, Newcastle NSWOverall 7 - Food 7, Ambience 7, Value 7, Service 7
I read one other review and respect the RSA issues but if you go to eat in a pub then don't expect a 5 star restaurant. Food and ambience (setting) is above average but don't come here for a quiet meal. It just won't happen (GMS210 - January, 2008)

Awaba House Restaurant & Cafe
- 1a First st, Booragul NSWOverall 9 - Food 9, Ambience 10, Value 8, Service 9
This is my favourite restaurant in the Greater Newcastle area. It is out of the way but certainly worth the trip from Newcastle to the Lake Macquarie foreshore. Beautiful setting and fantastic food. So good, we had our wedding reception here and still get comments on what a fantastic place it was. It can be casual for Sunday brunch or Sophisticated and Romantic for that special occassion (GMS210 - January, 2008)

Anchors Seafood Restaurant
- 129 Lambton rd, Broadmeadow NSWOverall 7.8 - Food 9, Ambience 5, Value 10, Service 7
Look this place borders on some sort of franchise restaurant but it is excellent value for money seafood that you don't get many other places. Its relaxed, kid friendly just a bit tacky for a romantic dinner but all good otherwise (GMS210 - January, 2008)
