We ate for a work do 2 years ago loved the food. went back for another after work quick tea. Food was just very very ordinary bordering on dreadfull. Thank god we did not have to pay for it. Must have been a change in staff, or ownership. Cos it was so different that our last experience. Would not eat here again. (anne m - June, 2009)

A really unusual concept, revolving while you eat, I was a bit unsure about going to the toilet when I imerged the table would have also, must be an interesting experience when you first work there. Lovely meal, great waitress, fantastic setting a real experience. A really enjoyable evening. (anne m - June, 2009)

WHAT AN AWFULL MEAL. What a very awfull ordinary meal. First of we asked for a wine, the waitress went away then came back said they did not have any of that left, we then ordered another wine, she came back opened it, it was the wrong wine totally different name and type of wine. One of the plates had an enormous chip in it,a very old discoloured chip ( why was it not thrown out) when pointed out to the waitress she said sorry you had to get that one, why was it earmarked for someone else. We asked what were the trio of dips and she said she would have to go away and check, she asked all the other staff and then said she would have to check with cook. One waitress was swearing in conversation within earshot of diners. Classy. The entree was ridicuousley enormous as the previous diner said, i think perhaps they should warn diners or perhaps make them a normal size. We have often gone to Launceston and thought we would like to try this restaurant, this time we thought we will use our diners book, BOY were we wrong, would not return again. (anne m - June, 2009)

Embers Bar & Grill, Mercure Hotel Hobart
- 156 Bathurst st, Hobart TASOverall 8.3 - Food 9, Ambience 6, Value 10, Service 8
We arrived and were seated after a little wait, the waitress bought the menus to us saying she would be back in a minute to take our orders, she did not return for at least 20 minutes until I caught her eye, she came over and said sorry I forgot all about you. She took our order for food and a bottle of wine. We did not see her again until at least 15 min later we attracted the attention of another waitress, who was definitely more on the ball and asked could we have our wine, she was most apologetic and bought the wine. Apart from this the food was very nice and they were lovely offering to delete the wine from the bill. (anne m - May, 2009)

We used to go to Pierre's and when they closed for renovation we were afraid they would never open again, but they have at last and the wait was worth it. A fantastic new menu and altered floor plan, but still familiar. we had a wonderful meal and are thrilled you are open again and the food is as delicious as always if not better. We will return when next in Lonnie. (anne m - May, 2009)

What an amazing place, especially at night. With the path down to the restaurant lit with little lights against the steps. We has a fantastic meal served by a wonderful gentleman waiter, would definitely return there. Just magical the setting and of course in winter the log fire. (anne m - May, 2009)
