    I have just returned from lunch at the Sir Joseph Banks bistro, it was a casual lunch for my son's birthday.

    The atmosphere was pleasant and even though it was the middle of the day there were still tables free so no one felt crushed or sitting on top of each other.

    The food was more than enjoyable between my party of three we had garlic bread which was absolutely delicious.

    A seafood basket, Chicken parmagania and a traditional steak sandwich with an added extra of bacon on a damper roll,

    The food was good without being overdone or in the case of the seafood was not dripping in oil, the portions were very generous and I would happily eat there again.

  • The Little Snail

    This is my second visit to the Little Snail and the only complaint I have is that the staff seem to assume that they do not need to give you change.

    This is the second time this has happened and even though we had every intention of leaving the five dollar plus tip, we were not given the opportunity to make that decision even after waiting another ten minutes after paying the bill no change was brought back to the table.

    So while I totally enjoy the food , I very much doubt my party and I will visit the little snail again.   (Donna - August, 2008)

    I have been to the Little Snail on several occassions and would be happy to recommend this restaurant as a relaxing and and convenient place to eat when visit Star City for a show or a night out   (Donna - March, 2008)

    I would highly recommend this restaurant , I have been there on two occassion one a romantic evening and the second my son's 21st birthday both times the service , food and atmosphere was amazing.

    It is truly a gem. The location is secluded enough to make you feel your in your own part of paradise.
