      Had dinner here and was not very happy with the experience here. Wait staff were friendly, it did take a little while to get their attention and it was not that busy. Food arrived unusually quickly. I was thoroughly disappointed with the fish and chips combo I had. The only good thing that seemed to be cooked fresh and that tasted good was the calamari, the fish and the chips seemed like they had been sitting there all day and reheated. Even the cucumber slice&tomato also looked a little off & had a funny taste to it.

      Even my husband thought his spaghetti bolognese tasted quite bad and he is generally very easy going.

      When it came to paying, the person who took our money, who seemed to be the owner kept chatting away to one of his staff members and seemed only interested in taking our money, which was not worth the meal received. Will not be returning!   (May, 2012)

There were nine of us who attended for breakfast and if the service wasn't bad enough, the arguement with the owner over payment was obscene, rude and plain stupid. No split bills is not a problem, but to tell a customer that even change wouldn't be provided (even if they were getting the change back), to allow us to sort out our group account was plain rude. The comment that "we don't care if you come back, we have enough customers" smacks in the face of total rudeness. The food was so average it begs belief, but not to be outdone by the rudeness of the manager. NEVER AGAIN! IT WAS FAULTY TOWERS IN MANLY   (bernster - February, 2011)

      Was served the most digusting food I have ever eaten. It must have been vegetables that were left over from other customer's plates and reheated. You don't even need to know food that well to know how disgusting it is here. I will never ever go back and will definately tell everyone I know not to step anywhere near this place. I am embarrassed this restaurant is in the heart of Manly.   (nuy33 - August, 2010)

      Anyone rating this above 2 is either staff of has never eaten in a restaurant before. Wanting to eat on the beach, we ordered fish and chips as a take away. At 20 minutes asked how the order was going and was told to wait. At 30 minutes they conceded the order had been lost. Well I wished it had of been. A tiny serve of the greasiest smelliest fish I have ever experienced, half cooked chips but thankfully not many and all a cost of proper meal anywhere else. Truly awful.   (Antoine67 - June, 2010)

      I have NEVER been through such a disgracefull experience in my life.the fish was frozen like you buy at COLES pre battered etc and the staff at the front were yellng out there menu to passers by all the time i was there very unplesent time .NEVER AGAIN   (dom - See my reviews (2) - January, 2009)

      I dined Sunday afternoon with my husband and three kids. They were very keen to get us in the door competing with neighbouring Crystals restaurant. The food was good though two of my kids commented that the Calimari was a bit rubbery. The Caesar salad was good and my daughters pizza was nice. The dishwasher had left the glasses with the greasy remains of lip marks though. The service was a bit slow , the table was half cleared and then they seemed to forget about us. I think it was shift changeover for the staff as it was about 5pm, but thats not a good enough excuse really, Overall, pretty average.   (Liz - September, 2008)

      I give these guys 5 stars!! For service AND food. We dined here last Saturday night (16 Aug) with a group of 8 for my sister-in-laws birthday party. Absolutely fantastic service, they don't do buffet / group menus but we ordered 3 seafood platters to share between the party. The platters were enormous! Perhaps a little overdone on quantity, heaps of left over chips and fish bites and fruity bits, but the seafood was fresh and delicious, bugs, lobster, crab, oysters (3 styles), scallops, marinated octopus, very yum. PLUS the manager threw in 2 bottles of really nice quality wine (Fat Tree?) - complimentary.. on the house! How can you complain?! Very accomodating, treated us like royalty (as you should), great atmosphere (a little chilly outside but they dragged extra heaters out for us). All up a very memorable night. Will definitely be back in summer when its warmer!   (mwilliams - August, 2008)

      Worst dining experience in Sydney ever. The food was cold, incorrect & incomplete order, the staff were rude, the management were only interested in luring customers to sit down. The owner is an absolute imbecile and completely incompetent. Unable to handle complaints or feedback from customers without making threats. My wife was told she should speak better English and shouldn't come back if she didn't like the service!!   (Ana - See my reviews (2) - June, 2008)

      5 of us received our main meals within 40 minutes. The 6th person received their main meal 1.5 hour later (when we had all finished) and we were still asked to pay the late meal. The Owner/Manager received our complaint in a very non-professional, thug-like manner and offerred one free coffee!! Not only will we not be going back, but I can't even walk past the restaurant without bringing back the memory of this most unpleasant experience.   (Ana - See my reviews (2) - June, 2008)

      Pretty much the worst eating experience for years, to give an idea: Ordered 2 coffees, 2 Juice, a ham-cheese croissant and a Ham Chees Omelette WITHOUT Tomato, result: nothing we had to reorder after 20 minutes of waiting, no coffee nothing... We got everything this time (only the waiter could obviously not find our table, so we had to get him from the other end of the terrace), but the Omelette was WITH Tomato, reordered and got a new one, but this time NO toast, it was there the 1st time...) All this time we we served by several different people, only mumbling something like sorry, i'll look into it. Finally we where going to pay, but our table number was not registered in the cash register. had to wait another 5 minutes before this was resolved... I really do NOT recommend this place, a rip off anyway, beeing lured in by a slimey owner with cheap food, and having to pay over AUS 7.50 for a little bottle of VB.   (Castle - See my reviews (3) - January, 2008)

      Had great seafood lunch, and breakfast two days running throughout a five day stay. Staff were friendly, only complaint I had was that when they wouldn't take one item off my husband's breakfast special (he's allergic to tomatoes) and they got a bit brusque about it.       The coffee was cold, The staff were rude and the food was inedible. The pasta was over cooked and soggy. Do not eat at this restaurant. The owner did not return change and just assumed it was a tip. How rude and unprofessional.   (sally - July, 2007)
