    Welcome to Zebras African Steakhouse. For over 20 years your host Jerrald Swindells has been amazing diners with the unique flavours of his home land - Africa - offering a casual dining atmosphere in a restaurant that has a fantastic feel about it. From the African safari theme to the friendly staff, Zebra's is famous for great steaks and exotic African game meats.

    The restaurant now boasts an impressive décor with bamboo and timber furniture, African artifacts and a very unique bar, which is actually half a jeep, painted up with Zebra stripes. It does a great job as a bar, as does the bar tender who will offer you a wide variety of beverages, popular African beers are available along with local beers a selection of hand picked wines and spirits. It's a great place to enjoy a pre dinner drink.

    Indoors the restaurant boasts a large main dining room with well spaced settings making it ideal for an intimate dinner for two, dinner with a group of friends. There is also a separate function room that is available for small functions to about 30 people, perfect for a birthday party you'll always remember and your friends will always rave about.

      This is our second visit to the Zebra Steakhouse and the food was amazing. We had the taster plate as an entree (venison, crocodile, buffalo and boerewors wurst) and it was cooked to perfection and very delicious.

      For mains I had the mini fillet steak - cooked again to perfection, the beef melted in your mouth, sliced like a hot knife going through butter.

      My dinner guest had the Chicken Shosholoza which he said was very nice.

      The average meal price was about $35 per meal but definitely worth the price for beautiful food.   (Tracey - January, 2012)

      My partner had the Sirlion, was fatty, drenched in sauce and prawns where not king prawns... very displeased and no value for money.

      Decor was fantastic and that's what caught our eye to dine in there, very disappointed with the food.

      Service was averaged and was impressed that the young waitress could pronounce the name of the south African wine we choose, some have no interest in other cultures.

      Value for money was no value, we have dined at other restaurants and found we can have a higher quality meal for less then what we paid for 2 mains and a bottle of wine.

      Sorry guys thumbs down for this one, wont be going again.   (el - August, 2009)

      Had a great time at Zebra's. Bought a cake for my birthday which the team were very accomodating with the presentation of. Food was great.   (July, 2008)
