We have been to Zinc twice in the last month and have had a great dining experience both times. The food has been superb, service fast ,efficient (without being pushy) and friendly.

Whilst the pricing is perhaps a little high for some diners it has always been great value for money. A very good wine and beverage list is a plus too.

This has now got to be our favourite restaurant in Port. keep it up guys you are doing a fantastic job+ + + (Port Eater - See my reviews (2) - January, 2009)

Holidayed in Port for 14 lovely days in May 08. Ate out lunch and dinner all of those days (not all at Zinc... though need a treadmill now!! ). This is by far a fantastic restaurant and probably our "pick" of Port being the most frequently visited by us. Food was fresh and innovative, service was slick & attentive without being "in your face". Very cool hip place...our 5yr old daughter loved the aquarium - worth visiting just for a look! Certainly will be back...as we have regularly since it opened! Child friendly though not necessary a "family restaurant" - in the traditional terms! (blondini1 - See my reviews (5) - June, 2008)

We have been in Port Douglas for 10 days - had many great meals at Port restaurants. This was by far the best! Food - incredible, fesh, simple. Service - fabulous. Atmosphere - perfect. (March, 2008)

Another restaurant that provides a disservice to their customers by surcharging Amex. Don't they realise that most of their customers probably have an amex card? Such a shame because I won't be back and I love fine dining in Port Douglas!! (jax24 - October, 2007)

Large aquarium in toilets is fantastic

Service was impeccable till dessert time, when our party was all but abandoned, very puzzling.

"With its crisp, modern interior and large terraces, Zinc looks the business - a picture of contemporary dining with a relaxed coastal feel. Menus read well, and there's a liberal inclusion of Asian-influenced dishes using local seafood. There's also a gleaming cabinet full of slices and cakes, begging to be eaten with excellent coffee or organic tea. Wine and cocktail lists are extensive."

"Zinc is a large venue which moves from casual cafe during the day to restaurant and bar at night. More than 70 wines are available with 30 by the glass, and there are plenty of cocktails to choose from. Service is professional and the comfy corner couches in the bar are the perfect spot to spend an afternoon. There are plenty of food options, with a children's menu catering for the little ones. Asian duck leg with soy and chilli is on the menu, along with char grilled chicken breast with cous cous."
