Pad Prik Khing delivery from local restaurants

Pad Prik Khing delivery from local restaurants

Pad Prik Khing is a type of Thai curry. This dish is made with some kind of curry paste, seafood, fruit, coconut milk, meat and a selection of herbs. Thai curry is different from Indian curry when it comes to seasonings and aromas. While Indian curry makes use of a traditional mixture of spices, Thai curry favours aromatic herbs. Thai curry is traditionally served with rice, either sticky rice or jasmine rice depending on the region, or a kind of flat bread called roti.

What takeaway Pad Prik Khing can I order online?

It is a well-known fact that Australians love Thai curry, such as Pad Prik Khing, especially as a takeaway option. Such dishes can be ordered easily from restaurants serving Thai cuisine or a selection of curries.

Unlike most kinds of Thai curry, Pad Prik Khing does not feature coconut milk and it is fried in oil, which gives it a significantly drier consistency than its counterparts. It is essentially a thick paste which takes its red colour and spiciness from the chilli peppers (phrik) in its composition. Although the name erroneously indicates that the dish would contain ginger (khing), it actually doesn’t, but it is made with garlic, lemongrass and galangal, which are traditional staple ingredients in Thai cuisine. The dish is usually eaten accompanied by rice.
