Persian food delivery from local restaurants
Persian cuisine encompasses the modern and ancient cooking styles found in modern-day Iran. Here dishes have maintained their noble character for thousands of years and have incorporated the best that have passed through this centrally located region. Persian dishes have changed over the years as trade routes brought new ingredients and techniques, but the high pursuit of food as art, medicine, and celebration has held strong to this day. Related is the notion of “hot” and “cold” dishes: hot dishes speed the metabolism, and cold dishes have the opposite effect. Combining the two in concert is not only required to enjoy a balanced dish, but deviating too far in one direction results in poor health or maladjusted temperament. Hot dishes include grains, sugar, fresh and dried fruits, vegetables, and poultry. Classically, fruits were often dried as a means of preservation, and their modern use in this state persists as tradition: prunes, dried apricots, dried sour cherries, raisins, dried peaches, dates, and figs are all classic Persian fare. Cold dishes include beef, fish, diary, rice, and specific fruits and vegetables. Vegetables such as pumpkins, spinach, beans, squashes, onions, garlic and carrots are accompany rice and meat dishes. Tomatoes and scallions are frequently used. Typical Persian spices are able to marry the two flavours: saffron and cinnamon are common, and dried citrus serves as a spice and not a fruit. Pomegranates are served fresh as in the thick soup Äsh-e anÄr, and a sabzi khordan is a chopped set of fresh herbs that's often eaten with a number of flat breads. Rose water appears in a surprising number of dishes and drinks.
Because staple Persian flavours are shaped by dried ingredients and transportable spices, Australian Persian restaurants are not limited in their ability to reproduce the flavour of Iran. Fresh fruit dishes are closely mirrored by the diverse offerings of Australian produce, but some are absent--specifically varieties that are typical to the Middle East. (There exists a small, sweet cucumber that's eaten as a fruit.) The number of Persian dishes and appetisers is incredible. The are many history-crafted regions to Iran and Persian cuisine, and the balanced achieved in the dishes is common throughout. Regular attendance to Persian restaurants is necessary for your tongue to learn them all, but one visit is enough to satiate your stomach.

The lamb was great but felt the salads lacked any dressing or flavour. Overall great food!
