  • First customer discounts of up to 35%
  • Loyalty discounts
    (e.g. Order 7 times, 8th is free)
  • Plus thousands of other specials

If you order from Menulog and then find the same item under the same terms advertised by the restaurant within 24 hours, we will credit you the price difference plus an additional $5 for that order.

About Last Train to Bombay (Crows Nest)

Established over 16 years ago by experienced restaurateur Harry Virk, The Last Train To Bombay restaurants are celebrated for their unique Indian cuisine, relaxed ambience and excellent service. Harry Virk and his specialist chefs offer a truly authentic Indian dining experience, creating the finest dishes, famous for their intricate spicing, skilful sauces and delicious flavours. “Don’t miss The Last Train To Bombay. Anyone on a journey to explore India’s regional culinary delights should climb aboard. There’s a choice of destinations, thanks to a team of specialist chefs … We’ve reached not Bombay, but foodie Nirvana.” Joland Waskito, Sunday Telegraph, 4 March 2007 “Eating here is like being in a first class dining car chugging across India. Atmospheric snaps of railway scenes from the sub-continent adorn a wall and behind a glass panel, chefs are slapping chapattis between their hands and spoon out exotic fare such as goat aloo (baby goat with potatoes and coriander).” “When Prince Raj Mewar, son of the Majaharajah of Udaipur, studied hotel management here, he was a regular at Last Train To Bombay. On what we saw, the Prince is a pretty good judge.” Jeff Collerson, Daily Telegraph, 6 January 2007.

This was our first time ordering from Last train to Bombay, friends had recommended them. We will be back again and again. Everything was delicious, there was lots of food and the delivery took less time than estimated. Friendly delivery guy and all round good experience.

  • Overall 5 |  Food 7  |  Value 3  |  Speed 5

The website and even their pamphlet says free delivery... min order $X. However, the takeaway and delivery prices for each item (including Roti) in the menu are different. For E.g. Price for Chicken Tikka Masala is $14.9 for pick up and $18.9 for delivery. Roti cost $2 for pick up and $2.5 for delivery. So, net net, you end up paying 25-30% more for home delivery inspite of being quoted "Free delivery".

  • Overall 6 |  Food 6  |  Value 6  |  Speed 6

Food was fine but the service is not up to mark. The delivery guy didn't come up to 12th floor for delivery and later called and asked me to come down. Also, if your order is above $50, you get 2 complimentary drinks. I had called them and confirmed the drinks but I received only one drink. Delivery guy said he was asked to deliver only one. I had no time to debate with him. I had requested for lemon slices in the comments but that were not sent. This is the second time this has happened.

This food was amazing! It was still really hot and sooooo tasty!

Last train to Bombay is always good for home delivery/pickup.

  • Overall 8 |  Food 8  |  Value 6  |  Speed 10

Arrived promptly as ordered and the food was really tasty. Will be ordering again.

  • Overall 8 |  Food 8  |  Value 8  |  Speed 8

    Always good and great indian

  • Overall 3.3 |  Food 1  |  Value 1  |  Speed 8

May be it was one of those bad days but the Bhindi masala we ordered was a bit over cooked (burnt). Also we had placed an order for Palak Paneer instead we ended up getting some creamy kofta!! Not happy with the service, and I don't think it's worth the price!

  • Overall 3.3 |  Food 5  |  Value 4  |  Speed 1

After having a rude phone argument the last time with the owner.Regarding receiving the wrong order. To be told that we are lucky as it was more value.Would not listen just talked over me the whole time. And I was trying to be nice thinking we have someone order and they are missing out. After months of not ordering thought I give them on more go as they are the only ones that make dosi. Orded last night the Food is ok but it took 120mins for our food to be delivered. When we went to eat it and it was luke warm.not very pleasing on the pallet. Will now not be ordering again.

  • Overall 4.3 |  Food 2  |  Value 2  |  Speed 9

Besides the speed of the delivery, I'm afraid the rest is downhill. Garlic Naan was cold and flavourless. Lamb Korma was way too sweet. The Chicken Masala was too oily and the Lamb Chops lacked the Tandoor aroma. The rice was way too dry.

  • Overall 7.3 |  Food 8  |  Value 6  |  Speed 8

Food delivered on time. Friendly delivery man. The naan bread is awesome - generously sized and soft and fluffy.

  • Overall 4 |  Food 4  |  Value 3  |  Speed 5

Food arrived in good time but is expensive for the quality

  • Overall 0 |  Food 0  |  Value 0  |  Speed 0

Open til 10:30 but no drivers available, poor form. Why advertise on here?

  • Overall 0 |  Food 0  |  Value 0  |  Speed 0

I found out that they forgot to deliver the beverage I ordered, so I called them. The guy who answered the phone was extremely impatient. I said you guys forgot to give me the drink that I paid for. He said nobody told me blah blah blah...then yelling: I'll deliver it to you later, then hang up. I think the beverage will never showed up. The food was average, definitely not worth the price. I thought the delivery is quick after I read those reviews, but it took forever. It turned out that restaurant gave a wrong address to delivery guy. How on earth did that happen. However, I still tipped the delivery guy. Anyway, I'll never order from last train ever again!!!

  • Overall 6.7 |  Food 8  |  Value 5  |  Speed 7

Good food, shame it was close to stone cold by the time it arrived!

  • Overall 8.3 |  Food 8  |  Value 9  |  Speed 8

Used to love this place when I lived in manly and now we order from Crows Nest. Consistently good value and a nice vindaloo. Very, very good naan. Always friendly too.

  • Overall 8.3 |  Food 9  |  Value 8  |  Speed 8

We placed our order on a busy Saturday night, very pleased with the high quality of food they delivered and the excellent service. With the wide range of interesting choices on the menu at the Last Train to Bombay, we'll be glad to order again. Recommended!
