I have ordered from Al Forno previously and it was always exceptional. This order was a big disappointment. The gnocchi was tasteless and too salty. The potato pizza which I have ordered before was not good.

The order didn't arrive. I had to ring and was told there was a problem with the system. They were apologetic. I think they could have rung me to explain.

We always order from Al Forno, but this order was horrible. It was cold and did not look like previous orders from there. It was thrown together, tasteless and cold. Do not know what went wrong. Not happy

Don’t forget waste your time. New owners food and service terrible. Wrong order delivered and restaurant was no help and only said “sorry”…

Restaurant response was pathetic and the food was even worse. Arrived cold and possibly the worst pizza Ive had in years. Busy I accept but no excuse for how late it was when I literally live a few hundred metres away and the quality was so bad. First and last time I order here. Stay away.

A little bit about us

Al Forno Restaurant in Bentleigh, Melbourne, is best known for creative twists on Italian favourites like risotto, prawn pasta and beef bourguignon. Our pasta dishes include spaghetti with seafood or penne with chicken for when you just want pure flavour. We also offer fettuccine with prawns and risotto with pumpkin. Lamb, smoked salmon and prosciutto are some of the pizza toppings we offer. We have a pizza with Italian sausage, beef, ham and hot salami for those who like plenty of meat. Our menu also includes a pizza with mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes and feta for vegetarians. Finish your meal with some of our tiramisu or Belgian chocolate mousse.
