A little bit about us

This chef survived a war and cooked for a king. Now serving delicious meals at India @ Q by DDs Kitchen in Kew, Melbourne Chef Daman Shrivastav, who hails from Delhi, has studied in the best institutes such as Westminster College in London and the Institute of Hotel Management PUSA, Delhi. He has also worked in the best places around the world such as the Oberoi Hotels and Maurya Sheraton in Delhi, The Dorchester and The Savoy in London, the Al Rasheed Hotel in Baghdad, and Sheraton Amman to name a few. Chef Daman Shrivastav is currently employed as the Lead Hospitality Lecturer of the Faculty of Culinary Arts & Hospitality at Box Hill Institute to “impart his knowledge and experience to others”. He has won many medals at Culinary Competitions across the world and he is a certified judge. Chef Daman has been awarded the title “World Master Chef” by the World Master Chefs Society, in England in 2017. It set in motion an extraordinary career. Daman provided food to families during the gulf war and worked along with Mother Teresa and then free food to homeless and international students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently runs ASICS and ACNC registered food charity with his ten-year daughter Diya called DDs Kitchen ( Dad and Daughter Kitchen) and provide freshly cooked food from India @ Q by DDs kitchen and staples to around 2000 families each week at the City of Yarra and City of Whittlesea. The city of Whittlesea awarded him the Citizen of the Year Award for his work.
