Note: High-protein Sri Lankan vegetarian favourites served beside beef, lamb, and chicken specialties at relaxed prices make Kammadhenu in Newtown, Sydney, a restaurant youll enjoy. Scrumptious chickpea protein enriches the flour in our traditional Indian dosai (pancakes). These are served with mushrooms and onions, fried paneer cheese, egg, or a variety of vegetarian or seafood, chicken, and beef fillings. You should also try Biryani, food from the gods. It layers slow-cooked vegetables, prawns, chicken, lamb, or goat of your choice with fresh tomatoes, mint, coriander, cashews, and onion.

Dosai is a type of crispy pancake made from a fermented batter. It is not a crepe. Its main ingredients are rice flour and black lentils flour. Dosai is a typical part of the South Indian diet and popular all over the Indian subcontinent. Traditionally, Dosai is served hot along with sambar and chutney.

Kothu Roti is a Sri Lankan dish made from chooped roti mix with vegetables or egg and/or meat curry, and spices. Kothu String is made from String Hopper (rice flour pressed into noodle form and then steamed) and mix with vegetables, or egg and/or meat curry, and spices.

Hopper is a type of pancake made with fermented rice batter and coconut milk. Its shape like a round bowl. It is a common food in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka.

If there is such a thing as foods of the God, it is undoubtedly the BIRYANI. Biryani is a marvelous creation of layers of perfectly slow cooked meat or veggie with beautiful rice and a fresh mix of tomato, fresh mint, coriander, chilli, cashew nuts and onion and lots of whole and ground spices for better aromatic taste. Biryani is a feast in its own but we serve boiled egg, salad, raita and gravy for meat biryani.
