Average girl with a lot of food photos….and I eat a lot. I like to eat so much, it’s all I ever talk about. So might as well blog about it!

What does food mean to you?
Food is social, cheerful and survival. My late grandfather, taught me the enjoyment and power that food has. It doesn’t just give you energy, it also brings people together and reason to celebrate. He may not be here anymore, but I live the spirit he taught me from a young age daily!

What would you eat for your last meal?
My mum’s cooking. She makes a kickass Loh Mee and Hokkien Noodles!

What’s your favourite Australian food city? Why?

The Foodie
Best overall food blog

Winner – Simon Food Favourites

I’ve always loved food, except when I was very young and fussy and hated vegetables, and wanted to somehow record all my favourite dishes I’d come across and be able to share the experience and details with friends and other food lovers. A blog seemed to be a great way to keep a record of my findings which I started back in October 2008 during Good Food Month.

What does food mean to you?
Everything, and photographing it is just as important.

What would you eat for your last meal?
Freshly Shucked Oysters & Lobster

What’s your favourite Australian food city? Why?
Sydney because that’s where I live so I don’t have to go as far to get a good feed

The Tastiest
Best blog for food pictures

Winner – The Grazing Panda

I am a Panda-loving Melbournian who enjoys, loves and is passionate about food, photography and travel.
I am constantly on the lookout for new restaurants and cafes to try out – especially looking for amazing desserts, great coffee, interesting combination of flavours as well as a great ambiance and vibe! It was because of these reasons together with the fact that I used to photograph all the food we used to eat that my friends suggested I start a blog – and here we are today with Grazing Panda.
My favourite part of a dish is the mix of ingredients, flavours and seeing how a dish comes plated out. I love interesting and unique plating up techniques.

What does food mean to you?
Food means a lot to me! There is nothing better than something that can bring people from all walks of life together – be it being from different walks of life, culture and language.
Food can bring a little bit of joy and sunshine into everyone’s lives – from cooking a dish from scratch with loved ones to going out to a fine dining restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. It is so versatile and special!
My first memory of food is of my Mum cooking a multitude of dishes for a dinner party she was hosting. There was so much energy, effort, care and love that she put into each meal she cooked. It’s something that I want to be able to do in the future just as she did.

What would you eat for your last meal?
I would love to eat a home cooked meal – there is nothing like Mum’s Chicken Curry, Eggplant Curry and Potato Curry served with Yellow Rice.

What’s your favourite Australian food city? Why?
MELBOURNE!!! I love that there are new places – be it cafes, restaurants for dinner or even just pop-up stores – that are opening up almost every day! There is such diversity, experience, fresh produce and great mix of flavours in every food venue in Melbourne. There are also some great fit-out and designs in each of the foodie places, along with great customer service. And of course Melbourne has some of the best coffee in the world – you cannot look past that!
