Exceptional Financial Support for Couriers Active on the Menulog Network
We understand that if you become ill or need to self-isolate this may stop you from being able to make a living. We have therefore committed to providing up to 14 days of Exceptional relief payments (paid weekly), equivalent to half of your average weekly fees from the past six weeks, so long as you meet the relevant conditions and decide not to use a substitute. This payment is capped at $300 per week.
How do you qualify for the Exceptional Financial Support Payments?
In order to qualify you must meet the following conditions:
- You have received a Covid-19 Report, a Medical Certificate on a letterhead from a Licenced Medical Professional or a legal isolation order from any State or Federal enforcement agencies, which would also be accepted as Proof of Isolation, noting you have been recommended to self-isolate due to the risk of spreading COVID-19
- You have been regularly active on the Menulog network for at least the last six weeks and delivered a minimum of 20 orders on average per week during the six week period before date of calculation (i.e. minimum 120 orders)
- You decide not to have a substitute during the period for which you are claiming the Exceptional Financial Support
- You apply for the Exceptional Financial Support Payments using the same email address as your activated courier account or if you can confirm the last 4 digits of the bank account you use to receive your weekly fee
Exceptional Financial Support Payments are subject to you granting consent for Menulog being able to process personal data contained in the Exceptional Financial Support Request Form (Request Form).
How do you submit an Exceptional Financial Support Request?
In order to provide you with the Exceptional Financial Support Payments we will process personal data about your health where you share this with us. This includes when you complete the Request Form.
To submit an Exceptional Financial Support Request, please complete the Request Form here, which contains all required information and must be submitted with a scanned copy or photo of the physical Covid-19 Report, Medical Certificate or legal isolation order from State and/or Federal enforcement agencies with all relevant details.
So that we can process any information you provide and to pay the Exceptional Financial Support Payments, you must complete all sections of the Request Form. If you are suddenly unwell while on a run, we recommend that you use the Live Chat feature via the courier app to drop the run and stop delivering orders to customers immediately. You also have the option to use a substitute.
