Deep ruby in colour, Elephant In The Room Merlot was crafted from 90% Merlot and 10% Shiraz. On the nose, the wine exhibits aromas of dark berry fruits. Both open and close fermented, this wine was partially matured in stainless steel tanks as well as French oak for nine months.
This is a contemporary Barossa Shiraz having spent maturation time in older oak adding subtle vanilla and earthy nuance. There's softness on the finish while maintaining freshness and vibrancy. Pair with a classic roast beef and horseradish.
