The grapes were picked in two stages to get a mix of ripe tropical notes and herbaceous lift. The wine was then treated carefully to maintain and enhance its naturally lifted aromas. We aim to get the balance right to create a refreshing wine that tastes good with our local crayfish, or just by itself. Bright tropical fruit – think guava, apple and green mango. A rounded soft mouthfeel with a zesty acid drive.

His Chardonnay is light straw in colour with a hint of green. The palate is graced with notes of white peach and nectarine, accompanied by roasted nuts from the oak. Its malo-lactic fermentation lends a buttery texture, while the structure is lean, much like a Chablis. As it ages, it will gain complexity, and you can expect to discover additional flavours like grapefruit, citrus peel, and toast. Cape Banks Chardonnay pairs beautifully with a wide array of foods—from seafood to creamy chicken dishes, roast pork, and a variety of cheeses. Avoid pairing with chilli or overly spicy dishes to fully enjoy its flavour spectrum.
